Curriculum

Royal Blossom Educational Centre offers The Competency Based Curriculum (2-6-6-3) which is a paradigm shift from the former 8-4-4 system. This is 2 years in Pre Primary, 3 years in Lower Primary, 3 years in Upper Primary, 3 years of Junior Secondary, 3 years of Senior Secondary And 3 years of Tertiary Education and Training.

The new curriculum emphasises the core competencies that should be acquired in the learning process namely Communication and Collaboration, Critical Thinking and Problem Solving, Creativity and Imagination, Citizenship, Digital Literacy, Self Efficacy and Learning to Learn.

Learning is about what a learner can do. Thus we have learning activities which are Mathematics Activities, English activities, Literacy Activities, Kiswahili Activities, Environmental Activities, Hygiene and Nutrition, Religious Education, Life Skills and Movement, Creative Arts, Guidance and Counselling as well as Debate.
